Data pertaining to business parks were obtained from counties in the DVRPC region (if available). These datasets were used in conjunction with DVRPC's latest land use layer and web searches to compile a list of locations with street addresses.For the purposes of this data gathering exercise, the following assumptions were made to help determine if a location was a business park:Location is in an area classified as commercial in DVRPC’s land use layerLocation often has a single landlord listedOffice parks are considered business parksMedical offices, in certain areas, may qualify as a business parkBusinesses adjacent or in close proximity to a business park are not always part of that business parkA single building containing multiple businesses can qualify as a business parkPlease note, although efforts were made to ensure its completeness and accuracy, this layer is not a definitive inventory of the region's business parks and should not be considered as such.
